Ed Jones is a premier master level beekeeper located in the Umpqua Valley of Oregon.
A fifth-generation Oregon native, Ed spent his formative years in the wilderness of the Umpqua Valley, developing a deep appreciation and respect for this special corner of the nation.
Ed got his first bee box back when he was a little kid and the world was much simpler. His first queen bee only cost six dollars.
That first hive was the foundation of a hobby that transformed into a passion for the amazing health and nutritional wonders of honey and bee pollen.
As an adult, Ed's passion and magnetic draw towards the outdoors continued in his career as a logger and his hobbies as a family man.
Founding Umpqua Valley Pollen and Honey was a total 'no-brainer', as the saying goes.
Not only did it allow him to harvest these gifts on a scale that is capable of sharing with other people, but the increased chance to trek around the woods tending the many hives feeds right into Ed's soul of an outdoor enthusiast to his bones.
The bees live in the countryside where there is no commercial spraying, and they fly around all day landing on wildflowers and mushrooms that are growing naturally out in the wilderness.
